Luke 12:15
“He said to them, "Beware! And keep yourselves from all covetousness, for a man’s life doesn’t consist of the abundance of the things which he possesses."”
Jesus is speaking to a crowd, and someone asks him to tell their brother to divide an inheritance. Jesus uses this as an opportunity to teach about greed and true wealth, warning against the illusion that a rich life is found in having many possessions.
