Leviticus 25:10
“You shall make the fiftieth year holy, and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a Jubilee to you; and you shall return every man to his possession, and you shall return every man to his family.”
This verse is part of God's instructions given to Moses for the Israelites after their exodus from Egypt, establishing laws for their life in the promised land. It outlines the principles of the Jubilee year, which was to occur every 50th year, following seven cycles of seven Sabbatical years.
