Romans 5:20-21
“The law came in besides, that the trespass might abound; but where sin abounded, grace abounded more exceedingly; that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Paul is writing to believers in Rome, likely in the mid-1st century CE. In this part of his letter, he is explaining how God's grace through Jesus is far greater than the problem of sin, which entered the world through Adam.
