Hosea 10:12
“Sow to yourselves in righteousness. Reap in mercy. Break up your fallow ground; for it is time to seek Yahweh, until he comes and showers righteousness on you.”
This verse is from the prophet Hosea, who was active in the northern kingdom of Israel during the 8th century BCE. He spoke to a people who had strayed from their covenant with God, often using agricultural imagery familiar to them to describe their spiritual condition and God's call for them to return.
