Isaiah 55:8-9
““For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” says Yahweh. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.””
The prophet Isaiah delivered these words to the people of Judah during a time of great distress and uncertainty, either before or during their exile in Babylon. He was speaking about God's steadfast mercy and surprising plans for restoration, even when human understanding failed to grasp how such things could be possible.
