Psalm 19:1-4a
“The heavens declare the glory of God. The firmament shows his handiwork. Day after day pours forth speech, and night after night reveals knowledge. There is no speech nor language. Their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out through all the earth, their words to the end of the world.”
This psalm, traditionally attributed to King David, celebrates the glory of God revealed through creation and through his law. The first part, quoted here, marvels at the silent, universal message conveyed by the natural world, particularly the sky.
