Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans that I have for you,’ says Yahweh, ‘plans for shalom, and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.’”
The prophet Jeremiah writes this letter to the Jewish exiles living in Babylon, far from their home in Jerusalem. They had been forcibly removed from their land and were living under foreign rule, feeling abandoned and without hope, wondering how long this would last.
