Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans that I have for you,” says Yahweh, “plans for shalom, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future.”
The prophet Jeremiah wrote this letter to the Jewish people exiled in Babylon, addressing their despair and false hopes of a quick return home. He urges them to settle down and seek the welfare of their captors, rather than resisting or hoping for immediate liberation.
