Philippians 2:3-4
“Do nothing from selfish ambition or from conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Don't look each of you to your own interests, but each of you also to the interests of others.”
The Apostle Paul wrote this letter to the church in Philippi, a Roman colony in ancient Macedonia, probably around 60-62 AD while he was imprisoned. He encourages the community to live in unity and love, using Christ's self-giving as the ultimate example for their conduct within the group.
