Psalm 13:5-6
“But I have trusted in your loving kindness. My heart will rejoice in your salvation. I will sing to Yahweh, because he has been good to me.”
Psalm 13 is a lament, one of many prayers in the Psalter where an individual expresses deep distress and feelings of abandonment to God. After pouring out his anguish and questioning God, the psalmist turns to an expression of trust and hope.
What does it mean to turn from deep distress to an expression of trust, even when circumstances haven't changed?
