Romans 5:20-21
“The law came in besides, that the trespass might abound; but where sin abounded, grace abounded more exceedingly; that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Paul is writing to believers in Rome, explaining that the Law given to Moses highlighted humanity's inability to live up to God's standards, making sin clear. But he argues that God's grace is even greater than the problem of sin.
