Leviticus 19:18
““‘You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people; but you shall love your neighbor as yourself. I am Yahweh.’”
This verse is part of a longer section in the book of Leviticus known as the Holiness Code, which outlines ethical and ritual instructions for the people of Israel. It was written for an ancient community forming its identity and laws in relationship with God.
