Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans that I have for you,” says Yahweh, “plans for shalom, and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
This passage is part of a letter sent by the prophet Jeremiah to the exiles living in Babylon, around the 6th century BCE. They had been taken from their homeland and were struggling with their new reality, wondering if they would ever return home or if God had forgotten them.
