Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans that I have for you,’ says Yahweh, ‘plans for shalom and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
This verse comes from a letter sent by the prophet Jeremiah to the exiles from Judah who had been forcibly taken to Babylon. They were facing a long period of displacement and uncertainty, and Jeremiah was conveying God's message of reassurance and a call to settle down and seek the welfare of their captors, even in a foreign land.
