Psalm 139:7-10
“Where could I go from your Spirit? Or where could I flee from your presence? If I ascend up into heaven, you are there. If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, you are there. If I take the wings of the morning, and settle in the uttermost parts of the sea, Even there your hand will lead me, and your right hand will hold me.”
Psalm 139 is a deeply personal meditation attributed to David, reflecting on God's comprehensive knowledge, presence, and creative power. It moves from God's intimate awareness of thoughts and words, to the inescapable nature of divine presence, and finally to God's careful formation of the psalmist in the womb.
