Amos 5:24
“But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream.”
Amos, a shepherd and fig-grower from Judah, was called to prophesy to the Northern Kingdom of Israel in the 8th century BCE. He confronted them about their religious hypocrisy and their systemic injustice towards the poor and vulnerable, warning of impending judgment.
